Getting my Boots Dirty!

Hey, there! My name is Marley Sollecito and I am so happy to have you on my page :) I may be new to this whole photography thing, but as I like to say you've got to "get your boots dirty!" Having grown up in the small farm town of Spreckels, surrounded by what is known as the "Salad Bowl of the World," this phrase "get your boots dirty" takes on quite a literal meaning for me sometimes. I may not have grown up directly involved in agriculture, but over the past few years I have discovered that I truly love this industry! I hope to serve as an "agvocate" and bring attention to the hard work that it takes to get food "from farm to fork." My admiration for the farmers, ranchers, packers, shippers, accountants, laborers, and everyone in between is what sparked my interest in agriculture. Throughout my time at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo I further developed this passion of mine through the hands on opportunities both in classes and clubs. In the spring of 2021, I graduated with a degree in Agricultural Business and a minor in Agricultural Education. Shortly after graduation, I started my big girl job as the Farm Services Supervisor (dang don't I sounds fancy lol) for Triangle Farms, a produce grower in the Salinas Valley. Although I may be in the "real world" now, I still pursue photography in my free time. Thank you for taking an interest in following me along as I continue to grow!
